Before punching a three run homer in the USA’s 9-6 defeat of the Philadelphia Phillies, Braves third baseman Chipper Jones taped an appearance on the Late Show with David Letterman that aired on Thursday. Jones was one of ten team USA players that are competing in the World Baseball Classic that were featured in the “Top Ten Reasons to Watch the World Baseball Classic.” Jones was number 7:
"The winning team plays Neptune in the Galactic Baseball Classic"
