Braves 10, Phillies 1

Recap: The bats came alive for the Braves knocking in 7 runs in the first 3 innings before tacking on 3 more in the ninth. The Phillies were only to muster up one run in the first, a RBI single from Ryan Howard, the only run allowed by Tim Hudson and the rest of the Braves pitching staff during the Braves 10-1 win. Brent Lillibrige and Mark Teixeira were able to awaken their sleeping bats combining for five hits and three RBIs while Jeff Francoeur and Joe Borchard added two RBIs a piece in the Braves win.

Next game: @ Indians, March 5 @ 1:05 PM/est

Braves Notes: The Braves are monitoring Rafael Soriano's right elbow. The pitcher is said to have minor inflammation in his pitching elbow...Chipper Jones could be back in the lineup as soon as Thursday after missing a couple days with a hamstring injury. It's spring training, take all the time you Chipper until you feel overly healthy.

It's been fun blogging with you,
Kate
