Braves 4, Indians 1

Recap: The Braves came one batter away from having a combined no-hitter, instead they had to settle for their 4-1 victory over the Indians. Atlanta came one out away from the fete, until Indians batter Danny Sandoval hit a RBI single off of reliever Colter Bean to end the streak. By then, the game was easily in hand for the Braves who broke it open in the fourth with three runs off of reliever Joe Borowski. Mark Teixeira added a solo shot in the fifth to make the score to 4-0.

Being a spring training game, the Braves can be encouraged by the impressive perfect three inning performance by Jair Jurrjens who battling it out for the final spot in the Braves rotation.

Next game: Thursday @ Detroit, 1:05 PM/est

Braves Notes: Have you heard, Smoltzie's doing things differently this season...He's also handing out advise to young players like the Phillis Cole Hamels...The Braves will certainly be sending a mature group of starters to the mound this season...Today's game against the Braves maybe one of the few Edgar Renteria will get against his old team.

It's been fun blogging with you,
Kate
