Braves 3, Cardinals 1

Recap: Jair Jurrjens scoreless innings streak is up to 8 after allowing only two hits and walk during his four inning appareance during the Braves 3-1 win over the Cardinals. St. Louis starter Adam Wainwright had difficulties in the first inning giving up two runs to the Braves before settling in. Javy Lopez added a homerun in the seventh on the way to a Braves win.

Next Game: Thursday, v. Washington @ 7:05 PM/est

News & Notes: Mike Hampton will not make his scheduled start on Wednesday but will instead throw a simulated game. Hampton felt a little tightness in his groin in final pitches of a bullpen session on Monday...He may already drive a hummer but 21 year old prospect Jordan Schaefer is looking to walk the tight line between being an ass and just being confident...A letter handwritten by Hank Aaron sold for $24,150 at Hunt Auctions. The letter was dated November 22, 1951 and was written to Syd Pollock, former owner of the Indianapolis Clowns of the Negro League.

It's been fun blogging with you,
